Spider Boots

About 3 months ago my parents came for a visit to see Titus for the first time. During this trip my mom got Jack a pair of spider rain boots. We all tried to get him to wear them the whole entire week they were here. I tried again and again after that and while my mom was here last week she tried to convince him to at least try them on.....with NO luck. Funny thing about 2 year olds.....they just have to do things in their own time. This morning when Tom went in to get Jack he was standing there so proudly wearing the spider boots we've been trying to coax him to wear for 3 months now. AHhahahah! He even had them on the right feet. In his own time....lesson learned kiddo, lesson learned! (That may even be him hinting at how potty training's going to go since we're starting off pretty much the same way. :-) )

And of course I can't leave Ty out....here's Tubs...

I'm chuckling... what a proud stance Jack has! And what a sweet, captivating smile Ty is throwing, there!

Here's to potty training - you are teaching him a skill he'll use for the rest of his life... ;)

Thank you Jack!!!!! You made Oma very proud. I knew you'd love those boots if you would just give them a try. Enjoy Enjoy Now let the rain begin!

Thanks for your comment! C. was laughing pretty loud when he came home from work and saw that picture. I think he checked it again from work today because he emailed and said he was laughing about it again.

Did you see Beth's chicken salad modification? Looks tasty! I like your idea for a recipe round robin! Maybe... one night we could all make the same thing for dinner with our individual recipes and then take pictures and compare notes. Something easy, like pasta. You could do it with red sauce, sauteed veggies, egg and ham (carbonara), plain butter and cheese (like spatzle)...
