Great Grandparents

Today we got to hang out with my grandmother and grandfather. The boys are their first great-grandchildren, which I think is pretty cool. We headed there for lunch today with my dad. My Gram is a great cook. She has this perfectly seasoned/oiled/used cast iron pan that she used to make us fried cheese. I don't want to admit that I ate this but when Gram's cooking, it's going to be good so you have to eat it. It was soooo good.

Gram had her Easter decorations out so Jack had a blast egg hunting in her living room. Ty was crawling all over the place and kept visiting my Pap in his recliner. Ty is becoming quite the chatter box.

He was even talking my Pap's ear off for a while.

My "G'rents" have a parakeet named Firecracker. Jack immediately goes to the cage and says hello to the bird and asks his favorite question (and I quote) "Hello Bird, What are you doing here?" Hahaha. He asks that to everyone he sees, including stuffed animals, dogs, and even a rock. :-) Anyway, Gram let Firecracker out which provided a solid 45 minutes of entertainment for all of us.

Then Jack found the fly swatter. Game over. My Pap got him going that there was a bug on his back. I of course didn't have the camera going the first time he was trying to get this pretend bug. I'm pretty sure I would have won the $10,000 on America's Funniest Home Videos.

We had a great time hanging out there today! It's so much fun being around family again!!

Jack the Entertainer and Ty's "blink once for yes"eyes

I've been bad about blogging lately. I have so many things to share. I'll have to start fresh tomorrow! So in taking the blogger short cut....here's 2 videos of the boys being crazy. Jack found his passion for the flute-a-phone I got him at Wally World for $1. We're so lucky! Hahah! And Ty's been doing this flirty eye thing for the past 2 or 3 days. Whenever you ask him something this is how he responds. It's pretty funny!
Here are the boys!

Soooo Big and Tooooo sweet!

So I've been a little busy but managed to capture these two moments on video of the boys. Ty's picking up on everything and is becoming quite the monster with getting into things and trying to climb my parent's stairs. Plus the kid eats like a horse! :-) I think Tom and I have been trying to teach him the "so big" thing for a month or so. This may be coincidence but I think he did it! I'm counting it as a milestone and in the baby book it goes! :-)

Jack is having so much fun being around our families. My brother, Tim, was in town with his puppy, Rayven. Jack loved Rayven as though they've been best friends for years. Hahaha. He loved playing with her. Then I saw their cute cuddly moment. Rayven's kind of hard to make out in the video since she's so dark. Tim told Jack she loved getting her ears rubbed and that led to this......he's so sweet and loves dogs!

My Monkeys

On Friday we got to spend the day with Tom's mom Sandy, AKA...Boobie. We spent the afternoon at Climb-a-Lot Clubhouse. It's an indoor tree house for kids to go wild in. It's about 30 minutes away from Pottsville, in Hometown. This place was amazing! First of all it's $1.00 for adults, $7.00 for kids over 2 with no time limit. You walk in, sign your liability waiver.....hahahah.....lose your shoes, get matching wrist bands and then go crazy. There was a few arcade games, a little play area for under 2 year olds and a concession stand type snack bar. They had board games hanging all over the place for the kids to play and free wi-fi for the moms! You can do drop in care for 4yr olds and older. I seriously LOVED this place. Tons of slides, a bouncy house, nets to climb up, bridges, rope wall, and it was all padded. Hahahah! The funny thing was they waxed the slides that day so Jack FLEW on those. It wasn't too crowded, I think Jack was kid #8 while we were there. He had a blast and Ty even got to play and let loose too. I will definitely be making the trip back there!

Jack lending a helping hand.

Ty was all over this tree house

The freshly waxed slides.

After Jack FLEW down the slide, he discovered a new....slower way to go down. hahaha

In the tunnel

Loved the arcade games, especially feeding his tickets into the prize machine.

Happy 9 Months!!!

Ty is 9 months old today! He's growing like a weed and moving so fast it's hard to keep up with him. He's starting to pull himself up on everything. Yesterday I was doing dishes and he pulled himself up on the back of my legs. He's trying to climb up steps and is crawling everywhere. His new favorite place to crawl is into the bottom of his exersaucer. Of course he gets in but can't get out. HAhaha! Another new thing that's he's getting better with is "Mama" and "Dada". Jack said Dada first so I'm pretty excited that Ty's starting with Mama! :-) Mama is pretty clear and he's starting to scream it when I put him down anywhere. It's so cute. When he says "Dada", it comes out bold and short...."mmmDA!" He's also been practicing his "How big is Titus?....So Big" routine! I can't believe how fast he's grown. Happy 9 months Ty!!!

For the Birds

This Sunday we got to spend the afternoon at my Grandparent's house. My Gram's a great cook and put out a big ol feast for us. My Aunt and 2 younger cousins, who live across the street got to hang out with us too. Jack had a great time. Katie and Kenny played with him, watched Toy Story with him and even showed him the chicken coop. That's right....a chicken coop. My grandparent's neighbor has 6 chickens and 2 roosters. Jack thought this was the coolest thing. He even got to feed them some snow.

We were there over nap time. Jack opted NOT to sleep, go figure! I didn't have a Pack 'N Play for Ty so my aunt suggested a kid's tent that she had. Unlike ours, it zips all the way shut. It worked perfectly. Here's Ty snoozing......This tent is now taking up space in Jack's room at my parents. Hahahah!
