RF: Play ground

We went to the playground today for a picnic. It's funny because i plan these things on the worst days. We are now in a wind advisory. Its pretty hard to eat a sandwich with 45 mph wind gusts. I can't believe Bodie didn't blow away. :-) Anyway, the plan was after Jack's swim lesson we grabbed lunch and met Tom at the playground. Bodie got to ride in his first swing and loved it!!! Ty found a girlfriend, no surprise there, and Jack mastered the rock wall.

This crazy swing had a "for the ages of 5-12" on it. What 12 yr old is going to swing in this? Haha!

One happy Bodie! He was snorting and laughing. So funny!

Get in that tunnel!

Doesn't love grass, but the rubber was ok. :-)

This Ty smiling for the camera while we were at Jack's swim lesson. He just wouldn't let the lollipop go. :-)

RF: Rocket Ship

For Christmas the boy's Boobie and Umpa got them their very own rocket ship. This thing was seriously cool, and gigantic! Haha! The boys had so much fun being Captains of their ship and coloring all over it and themselves. Hahah! It had a lot of purposes too. It was used as a jail, a garbage truck, and Wal Mart. :-)

Markers just seem to attack Ty.

RF: Ty Celebrating

The boys really had a blast bowling! Here's Ty in action. He said, "I just scored again. Yeah Baby, Yeah Baby, Yeah Baby". I would like to point out this is VERY much like my Mom's "Oh Baby" Dance, post a few too many. :-) Hahahahahha!!

RF: Bo-da-Bo

Bodie is growing way too fast. He's a little monster with a crazy temper! He definitely let's you know when he wants something or is just over whatever you're trying to do with him. We think he also hates his high chair. Haha! If you leave him in there after he's done eating the boy just gets angry, it's almost funny....almost! :-)
Over the few weeks this little nugget has been sitting up on his from crawling, he's been standing up against everything too and he's starting to cruise. I love seeing him sit up, he just looks so proud of himself. :-)

Rapid Fire

Is it March already?? Ok, it's March and I'm WAAAAAY behind on the blogging! I just noticed that I have 1,432 pictures on my phone, including a few videos. Since my blog has 2 purposes, to keep family and friends up to date on the latest Murtie happenings and as my digital scrapbook/baby book for the boys, I need to share a lot of what I've found. So be warned. There will be many rapid fire type posts until I can get through the 1,432 pictures and videos that I haven't shared. Mission accepted.....
So my parents came for a visit a few weekends ago. It was a great trip! I love when they come to visit! We went bowling, went to a University of Louisville basketball game, had some schnitzel in a throw back to our Germany days, and lots of other fun stuff.

My Mom was on Bodie duty

Notice that the ball just hit the lane and his thumb is already in his mouth. Hahah!

Watching the Lady Birds.

We had seats in a great section that had this cool bar, its own little food area, sitting area and full view of the Ohio river and bridges.

Lounging in the sitting area

What's cooler than a basketball game??? A barge heading down the river of course

He played with my Dad's whiskers the whole time he was up there.

Trick

Bodie Boy

Bodie has been growing like crazy and learning all kinds of new tricks. He's 9 1/2 months now and is going to be total trouble when he starts walking. Right now he crawls over everything, dogs and brothers included. There's nothing he thinks he can't do which means we re-baby proofed the house. The other day in less than 15 seconds he was up 3 steps. Baby gates are back up to say the least! He' starting to cruise too, no fear. Bodie's also doing "so big" and playing peek a boo. I love how he plays peek a boo, there's always one eye uncovered or his hands are just across his forehead. It's so funny! And my favorite trick he's doing now, waving hi and bye. He does it with such pride, and to just get attention.
As far as the growing stats he's living up to his eating habits. He's 22.5 pounds which puts him in the 71st percentile for weight, and 29.5 inches which makes him our longest 9 month old in the 84th percentile for height. His appetite is huge and he definitely prefers to feed himself! He has 5 teeth with #6 almost through. Bananas are a favorite along with yogurt bites and Num Num crackers.
Bodie's favorite things seem to be riding on Tom's shoulders, playing in the dog's water, "wrestling" with his brothers, dumping out the dog toys, flinging the springy door stoppers, bath time and grunting and growling. The noises that come out of him are hilarious! He's a totally happy baby with a temper when he's "hangry"! He gets that from the Davis side. :-)
Here's Bodie in action....
Up the steps we go...
